Project Description

Eckman constructed an expanded safety complex at the intersection of Route 13 and Post Office Drive, to accommodate the Brookline Police Department. A 6,000 square-foot addition to the existing Ambulance Service building houses the Police Department—a completed Brookline Safety Complex that was envisioned since the first phase was completed in 2004.

The new police headquarters has offices, locker rooms and a private interview room, as well as secure holding cells and evidence storage area. A sally port provides for the safe movement of prisoners between police cars and the station. The second floor is currently being used for storage with the possibility of turning it into additional finished space in the future.
