Eckman completed this 2-story wood-frame building two full months ahead of schedule.
The facility contains 38 residential units for low-income elderly and disabled persons and features a community room as well as a function room for organizational use. The parking areas, retaining walls and landscaping surrounding the building were completed as part of the project. The quiet setting surrounded by wooded areas belies its West Hollis Street location, close to city amenities.
Eckman worked closely with the non-profit AHEPA Chapter 35 to finalize the necessary documentation to obtain HUD-202 funding. Construction continued on schedule through a winter of record NH snowfalls. The building was completed and turned over in nine months – two months early.
