Project Description

The Portsmouth Housing Authority selected Eckman Construction to serve as construction manager and provide pre-construction and construction services for Ruth Lewin Griffin Place, a new affordable housing complex located in the Historic District of downtown Portsmouth.

The 56,400 sf project features 64-units of affordable housing and an underground parking garage.

Eckman preserved a historic building located on-site as demolition occurred around its exterior and will incorporate the structure into a green space that will act as a hub for the community.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on December 9th, 2020. The architect on the project is CJ Architects.
