Project Description

This 48-unit assisted living community, designed for 80 residents, was funded through HUD. Site work included all utilities, a parking lot and complete landscaping. Eckman also built a town road and an access road for the community.

Designed to reflect Colonial New England, the structure is wood-framed and features design elements to enhance comfort, care and security for memory-impaired residents and day care attendees. The community features a library, a commercial kitchen, an ice cream parlor, living rooms with a grand piano, and secured courtyards in the backyard. Planning and construction were completed with consideration to the preservation of nearby nesting eagles and wetlands.
