The Derryfield School in Manchester has hired a design-build team of Eckman Construction of Bedford and Cowan-Goudreau Architects of Concord to execute building and program enhancements across their campus. The campus improvements, which will include a new Wellness Center and Dining Commons along with a Science and Innovation Center, will be executed in phases and the projects are currently in the schematic design phase. There has been much optimism about the infrastructure improvements at the Derryfield campus.

“Our team is thrilled that The Derryfield School Board of Trustees has decided to invest in ways to enhance the school’s capabilities to bring cutting edge education and amenities to future students,” said Preston Hunter, Vice President, Eckman Construction. “As a Derryfield alum, it is inspiring to see the School taking steps to stay at the forefront of education innovation and improve its profile and presence to the next generation of Derryfield graduates.”

The improvements at The Derryfield School are depicted in the Master Plan developed by Cowan-Goudreau Architects and Centerbrook Architects of Centerbrook, CT back in 2015. Centerbrook, a nationally-recognized campus architectural specialist, remains part of the design-build team in a limited consulting capacity.

The Eckman team has been working with The Derryfield School since late 2015 to develop preliminary designs to support fundraising efforts.
